The FrayMUN 2021 Secretariat

Meet the secretariat for FrayMUN 2021, we are so happy and honored to organize this conference. Together, we coordinate the staff and the whole event, in order for you to have an incredible experience inside and outside the committees. We look forward to meeting all of you in May!

Miranda Moguel

Secretary-General

Miranda is a senior at Fray Victor Maria Flores. She comes from Merida, Yucatan, but has lived in Chiapas since she was 7 years old. She has learned English and has been learning german and french. In 2019 Miranda got the opportunity to go on a school exchange to Germany, where she met new people, learned from the culture and lived one of her best experiences in life. In 2020 she was the head delegate on the group of students that assisted to the Harvard National Model of United Nations Latinoamerica 2020 held in Puebla, Mexico; she took the role on representing the Delegation of Kenya in the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, were she came up with more motivation to work along with the Fray MUN 2021 team to make this event as amazing as possible.

A senior student at Instituto Fray Víctor María Flores, Arturo comes from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. He has a great interest in constantly learning, a proof of that is that he has taken french lessons. When he knew he had the opportunity to organize FrayMUN 2021, his teammates and him decided to work with so much effort in order to make of this conference something amazing; counting with previous experiences such as FrayMUN 2019, representing the United States of America and Harvard National Model of United Nations Latin America 2020 being part of the Indian delegation, he is more than happy to take on the role of Co-Secretary-General this time and working side by side with Miranda and the rest of the FrayMUN 2021 team, knowing this will be a great experience.

Victor Bonifaz is currently in sixth semester of high school, he has taken the PICHI English course at UNICACH, completing the level C1 +, he is currently in the second level of French courses at the same university.

 

He loves music, dancing and sports, as well as Muay Thai, he also likes to go out with his friends, workout and read, his favorite book is Da Vinci Code.

In 2020 he had the opportunity to attend the HNMUN-LA organized by Harvard where his interest for Models of United Nations started.

Montserrat Amaya
Under Secretary-General for Logistics

Montserrat is a senior student at Fray Víctor María Flores, she is part of the area of Social Sciences and Humanities. She was born in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico.

She wants to learn a lot of languages because this is one of her favorite skills, she's studying French, Russian, and in the future, she will learn Japanese, Latin and German. Montse had the opportunity to become an Exchange student in 2015 when she was eleven years old, she spent a month in Canada, this helped her in being more confident about her communication skills.

In 2019, she became part of the first FrayMUN event, she was the delegate of Turkey, she really enjoyed this event, right now, she is still part of the FrayMUN but she's going to be part of the Secretariat. This event really motivates her, because it shows how different are the visions among the countries around the world.

Maria José Mayorga Vences is an 18-year-old student from the Fray Victor Maria Flores

Institute who is currently studying the 6th semester in the area of social sciences and

Humanities, she entered the school in the 2nd semester of high school. She participated in the first FrayMUN event as an assistant to her delegation, it should be noted that his assistant

received recognition for defending his country in a very good way.

Speaking of her school academically, she is doing well, she is one of the people who believe the idea that a number does not define you, as a person.

Joaquín Mayorga
 
Assistant of USGL

Joaquín Mayorga Vences is a student of the Fray Víctor María Flores Institute who is currently in the fourth semester of high school in group “B” of which he is a representative. Joaquín entered the institute in the third grade of high school, the year in which he represented the school in the speech contest at the school zone level. He also participated as a delegate representing the United States of America in the first FrayMun, an event in which he was recognized for his involvement in the debates he held with the Chinese delegate and for the solutions and agreements between delegates that he devised to resolve the problems presented. Academically, he has shown a great interest for social science subjects, an interest that is reflected in his grades and personal projects, such as his blog on reflections and practical philosophy, "Se busca algo real" or with his readings, of which he shares quotes in their social networks.
